History of the CHC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council
As a response to the commitment of CHC to enhance the organizations’ ability to achieve its mission of “changing lives by improving health and wellness”, the California Health Collaborative Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council was formed in 2020. In December of 2021, the position of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager was added to the CHC administrative department to streamline the development, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of DEI centered policies and procedures throughout the organization.
The California Health Collaborative Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council, serving the California Health Collaborative (CHC), is committed to:
Creating a diverse community where people feel seen, safe, and empowered to thrive.
Courage, Cultural Humility, Diversity, Equity, Human Relationships, Inclusion, Service, and Social Justice.
Create more equitable, inclusive, trauma-sensitive, and culturally responsive environments through healing centered practices, elevating diverse narratives and analyzing systems and policies.
